watch yourself

I think the hardest thing about losing someone is forgetting that you have. It’s that split second when you want to tell them something and then remember that you can’t. Search for their face in some place familiar and then realize that you won’t find them. It’s in that moment, that you have to watch yourself lose someone all over again.
